Being a bookworm, I'm always interested to see how books translate into movies, especially those stories which are a superhit in their book format. The New Year is almost upon us and the one movie I'm really looking forward to seeing is Brendan Fraser's new film, Inkheart which is based on the best selling trilogy by Cornelia Funke.
Inkheart is a family-friendly fantasty adventure that sends a father and daughter on a quest through worlds both real and imagined. It's in theaters nationwide on January 23th. Brendan Fraser is also a fave actor of mine and as such I'm eager to see how this book translates on-screen. It promises to be fun-filled fantasy adventure for all ages.
About the Book: One cruel night, Meggie's father, Mo, reads aloud from INKHEART, and an evil ruler named Capricorn escapes the boundaries of fiction, landing instead in their living room. Suddenly, Meggie's in the middle of the kind of adventure she thought only took place in fairy tales. Somehow she must master the magic that has conjured up this nightmare. Can she change the course of the story that has changed her life forever?
Inkheart is the first book in the trilogy, followed by Inkspell and InkDeath.
