Review and Giveaway - Ferry Tales (Ended)

Created - 4/21/2008

(This giveaway has concluded)

R
eaders, please join me in welcoming today's sponsor - Lisa Suzanne Ferry of the Etsy store, Ferry Tales!

{Hurry, if you want any of the items listed here as they're selling out fast! I had to change my article twice as the items I had featured in it were sold out before I could post it today!!}

I first came across Lisa's Etsy store when I was browsing Etsy for bookmarks and book thongs (you can guess why!). She had some unusually pretty ones which immediately caught my eye.

The one on the right, for example, is more for a romantic at heart! The colors are a silver and royal blue. The focal bead is made into the “chandelier” style with “crystal” looking glass beads. Whereas the one the left is made of a large bead of Tiger’s Eye and 2 smaller beads of Abalone Shell chips, with an Abalone Shell disc ending the pendant and silver spacer beads.

All of her book thongs are made of silver metal that is hand shaped and then “pounded” for the “Black Smith” look. They have a medieval or “The Dark Ages” feel about them which makes them truly unique!

Not only that... Lisa also makes her gorgeous creations to the customer's specifications. I got a really pretty book thong with Swarovski crystals and my birthstones, Garnets!

But that's not all this talented artist features in her Etsy store.

You'll find Original and Unique jewelry including Moldavite Jewelry (these are actual meteor stones considered to bring good luck!), some very pretty earrings, charm necklaces and bracelets (oh, I just adore these, don't you?), and Ferry Tales. Wondering what Ferry Tales are? Well, they are Fairy lures... so if you want those dainty little creatures flitting about your garden and in the process, make your neighbors envious, not to mention add a bit of a dazzle to your garden, then these are just the ticket! I have one large Ferry Tale glittering away in my front garden that's been the source of many so-called casual stop-bys :) Or maybe it was the peridot pendant necklace I was wearing. All Lisa's creations.

From personal experience, I can tell you that her stuff is top-notch, quality and beauty-wise!

About Lisa herself :

Hello! My name is Lisa Suzanne Ferry - Carter. I'm a 43 yr old relic that has a wonderful and encouraging S.O. (Significant Other) that has made it possible to stay at home and delve in to my obsession(s) which are: chocolate, BEADS, polymer clay AND Fairies, of course he and the kids too!

I started playing with beads about 10 years ago and clay about 5. My friends and family have been very supportive and have encouraged my creativity. I've had the privilege to "peddle my wares" in coffee houses, flower shops and a casino in Vegas to the Allegheny’s in Pennsylvania to tourist Island’s by Canada and other projects that have made my little heart get all twitterpated!

For a 10% discount on any item in my store, just mention that you read about me here (A Bookworm's Diary)! I guarantee my work and have had many return customers. I will also try to accommodate custom orders.

Happy Reading,

Lisa Ferry

Thanks for stopping by my site. :) The bookmarks are really cute! They kind of remind of the ones I see at Borders or Barnes & Noble. :P

I love the Cupid Hang out with the Moon book thong. I would personalize it by adding a letter C & D. (that is my and my husband's initials) That way I can think of my hubby when I carry my book around.
