Nana Star - Review and Giveaway

I was sent both these great, award-winning book/toy combos for review. Well-conceived and well-built, these books and companion plushies are too adorable for words. I spent the weekend reading out the books to my not-yet-2 year old toddler. He's too young for the powerful message contained within the pages, but he did enjoy the thought that the doll in his hand was the same one in the book. Once that concept was grasped, he couldn't have enough of it! He ran off the book and the doll and in his excited, and unintelligible babble, tried to explain to his Dad the awesome concept that they were one and the same!

As parents, we're always on lookout for children’s books and toys with high play and imagination value and the NanaStar series seem to embody this sentiment. We're now fans of this Laugh Friendly site where we've also discovered Blaphhing! A portion of all Nana Star product sales goes directly to the Nana Star Foundation, dedicated to two main causes: helping make life easier for children attending under-resourced, inner-city schools and for terminally ill children.
