OxiClean Max Force Power Paks and Max Force Gel Stick Pre-Treater

by - 2/02/2010

Before kids I used to do laundry like once a week. Now it's once every day! My kids are absolute dirt and stain magnets and that's an understatement. My baby daughter somehow manages to get poop out of her diaper and onto her every dress. And my son, who's recently discovered the joys of riding a bicycle, comes home everyday with grass and dirt stains. Some stains I don't even want to know what they are - ugh! Plus my son is in full toilet-training mode which means more often that not, his night dress and his entire bedding is soaked. Sigh. And believe me, poop and pee stains are a real pain to get rid of. And my old detergent just wasn't up to the task.

I'd never tried OxiClean before, but I've certainly heard of them (those tv ads are just the best!). OxiClean's reputation for stain-cleaning is such that, needless to say, I leapt at the chance to review their two new stain-fighting products: OxiClean Max Force Power Paks and the Max Force Gel Stick Pre-Treater.

How does it work - Each of these new products contains OxiClean's "4-in-1 stain fighting power" so whether grease, oupil, blood, or dirt, appears on clothing, you know that dabbing with OxiClean will leave the garment looking new again after just one wash.

One thing I hate is sorting laundry into colors and whites. Thanks to the Power Paks I no longer have to do this time-consuming task. The paks work on any load of laundry and provide a boost, without me having to deal with messy liquids or powders.

The Gel Stick Pre-Treater is said to work best on tough stains – even ones that have set-in! So I decided to put it to the ultimate test. I used it on my daughter's footsie pyjamas that had this horrible yellow stain on the back (you know what made that stain) and on my son's favorite tee which had chocolate milk stain on it. Previous washings (yes, I'd washed them at least two times before) with my regular laundry cleaner hadn't done anything for them. I rubbed the Gel stick on the stains and let them sit for a few minutes. Then I tossed the clothes in with the rest of the laundry. The results were magical! The stains are fully gone, something none of the other cleaning products hadn't been able to achieve. The clothes also look brighter and fresher. Now that's real quality cleaning!

Whether you're new to OxiClean or a regular user, these products will certainly make a fan out of you. You'll find them in stores sometime on or after February 15th. You can also find OxiClean products online at http://www.oxiclean.com/.

Disclosure - I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of OxiClean and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
